Fake Identity & Checksum Playground

A rewrite of an old novelty from the original site — the fun part was always the collection of check-digit algorithms real-world identifiers use, so this version leans into that: generate a complete fake "identity" across a dozen different formats, or paste anything into the box at the bottom to see it hashed and checksummed a few different ways.

Is this safe? Yes. Every generated number is format-valid (correct length, correct check digit) but not tied to any real account, person, or institution — the same idea as the published "test card numbers" Visa/Stripe hand out to developers. SSNs use retired pre-2011 issuance ranges. The "fun" phone numbers are real public FBI field-office lines, on purpose, so a dialed joke number rings a law-enforcement switchboard instead of some uninvolved stranger.
